Kentucky State Police investigated an apparent murder-suicide in Vine Grove early Saturday morning.
On June 17, 2023, at approximately 1:53 A.M., Kentucky State Police Post 4 received a call from the Vine Grove Police Department requesting assistance in investigating a possible murder-suicide that had occurred at a residence located at the 800 block of Edgebrook Drive in Hardin County.
The preliminary investigation revealed the Vine Grove Police Department responded to the residence for a welfare check and discovered the bodies of 67 year-old Allen McLean and his wife, 48 year-old Lisa McLean, both of Vine Grove. Based on evidence collected at the scene, investigators believe Allen McLean shot his wife before turning the weapon on himself.
Both McLeans were pronounced deceased at the scene by the Hardin County Coroner’s Office.
The Kentucky State Police was assisted by the Vine Grove Police Department, Hardin County EMS and the Hardin County Coroner’s Office.
The investigation remains ongoing by the Kentucky State Police.
