According to authorities, 31-year-old Christopher Raymond Pascoe, of Irvington, sprayed a deputy and fled the building into an alley, where he was detained by police, who he also sprayed with the substance during a brief foot pursuit. He was detained and taken to Breckinridge Memorial Hospital by Breck Central EMS for evaluation and was arrested.

Three officers were taken to Breckinridge Memorial Hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries. The Fort Knox Hazmat Team was requested to test the substance which was determined to be a hot sauce mixture.
