The Kentucky Association of School Administrators (KASA) proudly presented Marc Adams, Meade County Associate Superintendent, with the prestigious District Level Administrator of the Year Award at the Annual Leadership Institute held on Wednesday, July 24, at the Galt House Hotel in Louisville.
Marc Adams exemplifies the Meade County School District’s motto, “Students First, Team Always,” by ensuring that every decision he makes prioritizes student welfare and team collaboration. His dedication to this principle has driven significant advancements and initiatives within the district.
A standout achievement of Adams is his leadership in the ‘Close the Gap Kentucky’ initiative, a collaborative effort with 14 school districts and Western Kentucky University. This initiative addresses educational disparities and prioritizes equitable student opportunities across the state.
In response to the growing demand for virtual education, Adams has been instrumental in developing ‘My Meade Online,’ expanding virtual learning opportunities for students in Meade County.
Adams’ involvement with KASA is extensive and impactful. He is a current member of the KASA Board of Directors and the Nominating Committee, and has previously served on the Government Affairs Team, the Leadership Institute Planning Team, and as a KASA Ambassador. Through these roles, he has shared innovative ideas and strategies with administrators statewide, contributing to the enhancement of classroom instruction and educational leadership.
KASA’s Leadership Awards Program is offered in partnership with American Fidelity Assurance Company.
As the largest school administrator group in Kentucky, KASA represents over 3,300 education leaders from across the commonwealth. Founded in 1969, KASA connects education leaders to policymakers, legislators, and other interest groups, providing numerous benefits and services to Kentucky’s school administrators.
