Members of Meade County Fiscal Court met during a special called meeting Tuesday (6/24) morning to finalize business for the current fiscal year.
Fourth District Magistrate Gary Chapman was appointed by the court to lead the meeting in the absence of Judge Executive Troy Kok. The court heard the second reading of an ordinance setting the standards for Street Legal Special Purpose Vehicles. The measure adds restrictions where such vehicles are not allowed that include roads: KY1638; 79; 313; 1051; 144; and the roads in Otter Creek Park. Other restrictions must be met by state law in order to obtain a special license plate for the special purpose vehicle.
Magistrates also approved a Right of Way easement agreement with the Meade County Water District to allow water line construction in along county roads. The court also approved claims and transfers to end out the budget year.
The next scheduled meeting of Meade County Fiscal Court will be held on Tuesday, July 8 at 7 PM.
