
On July 22, a Madisonville man was sentenced to 10 years in prison for trafficking meth.
Michael Skinner, 65, admitted in his plea agreement that he was stopped by law enforcement on August 3, 2024, based on excessive window tinting.
A K-9 alerted to the presence of narcotics coming from the vehicle, resulting in the discovery of 80.77 grams of methamphetamine hidden under the hood of the vehicle. He admitted to distributing methamphetamine and to frequent prior drug distribution.
As a result of his conduct and his criminal history, the Court imposed a sentence of 10 years in federal prison followed by five years of supervised release.
There is no parole in the federal system.
