U.S. Congressman Brett Guthrie visited Meade County Wednesday (7/8) morning for a ceremonial ground breaking event to celebrate $2.1 million in infrastructure upgrades within the Meade County Water District.
This funding was secured by Congressman Guthrie as part of the Fiscal Year 2026 appropriations process and will go towards the construction of a new transmission main, along with a new interconnect, tank, and pump station, to help provide a more reliable and consistent supply of water to more than 5,000 rural customers in the county.
