A man has been arrested and charged with rape, human trafficking, sexual abuse and sodomy of a 15-year-old girl.
According to arrest reports, 48 year-old Rolando Vasquez was renting a room to the girl’s mother and, starting in December 2025, had been raping her under threats to her and her family.
A detective was alerted by a patrol officer of a mother wanting to report a sexual assault of her 15-year old daughter.
The report said Vasquez told the girl she would need to be in a relationship with him or “she would regret it.” The girl told police the rapes started in December 2025 when he took her into his room, stripped and penetrated her even after she told him to stop.
The report details four other instances of sexual assault, including Vasquez allegedly making the girl perform oral sex on him until she threw up, sodomy in the backseat of his car and an instance of sexual assault in the bathroom of his work.
The report said the girl told police that Vasquez made her have sex with him multiple times a week and would threaten her and her family if she attempted to refuse, making her comply. She also said that he would give her money sometimes after making her have sex with him.
The report said that in December 2025, the mother walked in on Vasquez in bed with the girl having sex, but he was able to get off of her before the mother saw the assault.
During the time of the assaults, the girl was between 14 and 15 years old and Vasquez was in his 40s.
Vasquez was in court Thursday, July 30. He pled not guilty and had a public defender assigned. He was ordered to have no contact with the girl or her mother and no contact with any child under the age of 18. His bond was increased to $100,000 and he is being held in the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections.
