John Thomas Durbin, age 91 of Guston, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.
He was born on December 14, 1934, to the late John Arvin and Thelma Victoria Basham Durbin. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lottie Frances Durbin; two sons, John and Keith Durbin; four brothers, Billy, Albert, Phillip, and Damon Durbin; his sister, Wilda Rush and a grandson.
He is survived by…
Four daughters: Pam Howard, Pattie Embry, Cindy Deniz and Ruth Gail Mills;
One step-granddaughter: Danielle Reece;
Two sisters: Minnie Margaret Wright and Annette Green;
Five brothers: Wade, Henry, Jimmy, Bobby, and Jerry Durbin;
Eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Salem Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home in Brandenburg on Tuesday from 2 until 8 p.m. and at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday.
