A man had to be extricated from his southbound vehicle after it ran off the road and struck a bourbon warehouse in Nelson County late Saturday afternoon.
At approximately 5 p.m. Nelson County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the report of a one-car accident on Loretto Road near Heaven Hill Distillery. Upon arriving they found 41 year-old Paul E. Edlin of New Hope trapped inside his vehicle. He had to be extracted by Nelson County Fire & Rescue. Edlin was later flown to University Hospital due to the extent of his injuries.
