One person was killed during an altercation in the 100 block of Narrows Road in Fordsville Thursday evening.
Kentucky State Police say the preliminary investigation suggests 47 year-old Daniel Easterling of Rockport was at the home of 58 year-old James Rogers when a physical and verbal fight with Rogers’ daughter broke out. Rogers attempted to intervene in the assault to no avail. Rogers then got a handgun and shot once striking Easterling.
Easterling was pronounced dead on scene by the Ohio county Coroner.
An autopsy was scheduled Friday in Louisville.
Kentucky State Police were assisted by the Ohio Sheriff’s Department at the scene.
