
A Thursday evening traffic stop led to the arrest of a Scottsville man on multiple drug charges.
The Barren River Drug Task Force conducted the stop at the intersection of Bowling Green Road and Halfway Road in Scottsville.
The operator of the vehicle, 52-year-old Steve Pearson, was arrested after an investigation led to the discovery of approximately one pound of marijuana, one ounce of crystal methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and $11,000 cash.
Another search warrant was executed on Friday morning at a residence on Squire Lyles Road which led to the discovery of approximately one ounce of crystal methamphetamine, a half-pound of marijuana, a semi-automatic handgun, drug paraphernalia, and $1,000 cash.
Pearson was charged with Rear License Plate not Illuminated, Trafficking in Marijuana, 8 ounces to 5 lbs, 1st Offense, Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense, 2 grams of methamphetamine, Tampering with Physical Evidence and Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon.
