Two Hardin County male juveniles have been arrested and charged with murder for the January shooting death of 22 year-old Windell Jones at his Westport Road townhouse in Elizabethtown.
The two were arrested Wednesday and are being held at the Lincoln Village Juvenile Detention Center, according to Elizabethtown police.
Jones was shot once in the chest and killed at close range after opening the door to his residence January 27, according to Hardin County Coroner Dr. William Lee.
Whether the teens will be charged as adults where they could be sentenced to life in prison, if convicted, will be up to prosecutors.
Murder is a Class A felony punishable by up to life in prison, if convicted. The two also are charged with first-degree robbery, a Class B felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison, if convicted.
