
LaRue County grand jury indicted two people last week for first-degree burglary in a reported crime ring.
John Aubrey, 52, of Buffalo, was indicted as a suspect in several burglaries in LaRue and other counties in the region, according to court records.
Aubrey was indicted on complicity to first-degree burglary; first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance; complicity to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; six counts of complicity to theft by unlawful taking – firearm; complicity to receiving stolen property – firearm; complicity to theft by unlawful taking; complicity to second-degree criminal mischief; third-degree burglary; tampering with physical evidence; theft by unlawful taking; receiving stolen property more than $500; second-degree criminal mischief; complicity to possession of burglary tools; first-degree possession of a controlled substance — methamphetamine and two counts of first-degree persistent felony offender.
According to his indictment, most of the charges stem from an April 19 burglary at a residence in Buffalo, where Aubrey reportedly stole several firearms and other items. Some of the charges also are from the burglary of a storage shed between February 24 and 27.
Aubrey is being held in the LaRue County Detention Center in lieu of two cash bonds, one set at $100,000 and the other at $50,000.
Gwendolyn L. Wood, 40, of Radcliff, was indicted for assisting Aubrey with the April 19 burglary, according to court records.
She was indicted on complicity to first-degree burglary; complicity to possession of firearm by convicted felon; six counts of complicity to theft by unlawful taking – firearm; complicity to receiving stolen property; complicity to theft by unlawful taking; complicity to second-degree criminal mischief and complicity to possession of burglary tools.
She is being held in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
