The Ekron City Commission met Tuesday (01/04) for their regular monthly meeting.
Mayor Cory Trent called the meeting to order and immediately swore in Kevin Wethington and Joyce McHolan to the commission.
It was reported the trash at 164 Reese Ave has been cleaned up.
The commission tabled the reading of ordinances and the prices for a new Ekron sign for more bids until the next meeting.
Ekron Fire Department made a bid of $1,500 for two lots across from the present fire house. The commission unanimously voted to accept the bid for the two lots with a stipulation if they ever decide to sell, the City of Ekron has first dibs on land. The letter of stipulation will be reviewed and signed by all commissioners to present to the Ekron Fire Department and will be posted on the door of City Hall.
The next scheduled meeting of the Ekron City Commission will be February 2, 2021.
