Emergency crews were called to a report of a motorcycle accident in the 2600 block of Highway 2202 near Irvington, just before 5 A.M. Sunday (3/21) morning.
According to the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Department, the operator was traveling west at a high rate of speed and failed to negotiate a curve causing him to lose control of the motorcycle. The operator was not wearing a helmet. The operator of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene by the Breckinridge County Coroner.
The Irvington Fire Department and Breck Central EMS assisted the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Department at the scene. The investigation remains ongoing by the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Department.
