The Kentucky State Police investigated a two-vehicle fatal collision on US 60 near Irvington early Tuesday morning.
Preliminary investigation indicates a 2004 Ford, being operated by 50-year-old Kevin Tanner of Garfield, was traveling East on US 60 when for an unknown reason he traveled off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected and traveled back onto the roadway into the path of a westbound 2013 Mack truck, being operated by 61-year-old Sheryl Van Dame of Indiana.
Kevin Tanner was pronounced deceased by the Breckinridge County Coroner. Van Dame was transported to the Breckinridge Memorial Hospital by the Breckinridge County EMS with possible injuries.
Kentucky State Police was assisted at the scene by Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Office, Breckinridge County EMS, Irvington Police Department and Irvington Fire Department.
