Kentucky State Police responded to a single-vehicle collision in Meade County just before 11:30 a.m. Sunday (10/20) that resulted in a fatality.
The preliminary investigation revealed that 30 year-old Dustin C. Gray, of Bardstown, was operating a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound near the 4,500 block Garrett Road when, for unknown reasons, he lost control and left the roadway, striking a utility pole.
Gray was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Meade County Coroner’s Office.
The affected portion of Garrett Road was closed for several hours to allow troopers to reconstruct the collision.
Kentucky State Police was assisted at the scene by the Meade County EMS, Ekron Volunteer Fire Department, and the Meade County Coroner’s Office and the Meade County Sheriff’s Office.
The collision remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
