
While performing a drug interdiction, a Meade County Sheriff’s detective conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 60 for excessive speed Saturday afternoon.
The detective made contact with the driver and immediately detected a strong odor of Marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle resulted in locating multiple clear plastic bags containing a white crystal substance, suspected of being Methamphetamine, Marijuana, drug paraphernalia, unspecified pills, and approximately 30 syringes with needles. All items were seized as evidence and one person was arrested.
