Joseph E. “Bunny” Cook, age 96 of Brandenburg, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Baptist Health in Louisville.
He was born on December 24, 1929 to the late Charles E. and Elizabeth Bennett Cook. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Dan and a great-grandson.

Eight children: Belinda Cook, Neal Cook, Janette Armstrong, Colette Robertson, Robyn Horvath, Glenn Cook, Dylan Cook, and Kyle Cook;
One sister: Ramona Wilkins;
One brother: Charles Cook;
Twenty grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church. Burial, with military honors, will follow in St. George Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home in Brandenburg on Tuesday from 3 until 8 p.m., and at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of mass on Wednesday. A vigil service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday evening.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the WHAS Crusade for Children, or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
