
A Tennessee man died Monday afternoon after a vehicle overturned after hitting a guardrail on Interstate 65 near the Glendale exit.
Benjamin Grado, 62, of Lebanon, Tennessee, died of multiple trauma experienced in the single-vehicle crash, according to Chief Deputy Coroner Kenneth Spangenberger. He was a passenger in the car driven by his wife, Gloria Elizabeth Grado, who was taken to Hardin Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Spangenberger, who investigated the case along with Coroner Dr. William Lee, said Grado died at 4:45 p.m., moments after the crash.
Vehicle Enforcement officers responded to the crash near mile marker 87 and are investigating.
Traffic was backed up for about 2 hours.
