The University of Louisville’s got plans for a brighter future in STEM as leaders announce a new addition for the next generation of engineers.
The new four-story 114,000 square foot building will sit right behind the J.B. Speed School of Engineering complex on Eastern Parkway.
The $90 million project includes classrooms, a maker space, high-tech lab facilities, and more room for student events.
The Speed School of Engineering was founded in 1925 and now enrolls 2,700 students.
The new investment will help support Kentucky’s future in technology, as a majority of graduates choose to stay and work in the Commonwealth.
Construction on the new building is already underway. It is expected to be complete in summer 2025.
