New details are emerging about the death of 21-year-old Kylee Miller, who was found shot and killed at her home in Valley Station last month.
Richard Goodman, 29 of Louisville, was arrested Wednesday and charged with her murder.
Through the investigation, detectives discovered through witnesses and cellphone data that Miller was with Goodman in the hours leading up to her death.
One person even told police that Goodman was seen with a handgun that evening, according to court documents.
Police also said the car Miller was driving at the time of her death was found set on fire in a field in a different part of Louisville. Detectives were able to determine through cellphone data that Goodman was in the area at the time it was set on fire.
Goodman apparently shared details of the murder over a phone call with a Louisville Metro Department of Corrections inmate. During the call, documents said Goodman and the inmate were cryptically talking about details of the murder.
Goodman faces two charges, murder and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. He appeared in court Thursday.
During his arraignment, the judge read his charges, but before she set his bond, he asked, “Y’all ready to waste this money?”
His bond was set at $250,000 full cash. The judge also prohibited Goodman from contacting Miller’s family.
