A sex abuse case involving minors has reached its conclusion after an Elizabethtown man accepted a plea agreement to probate his sentence.
George McAllister, 59, accepted a plea deal Tuesday in Hardin Circuit Court that probates his sentence for three charges of first-degree sexual abuse, victim younger than 12, for five years.
The plea agreement McAllister accepted means he doesn’t have to serve jail time if his probation isn’t revoked for committing another crime in five years. McAllister also will have to complete a sex offender treatment program and will register as a sex offender for the rest of his life, according to the terms presented Tuesday.
Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Teresa Logsdon said the agreement was made because the original charges did not involve contact with the victims.
McAllister was arrested February 20, 2023, on three counts of first-degree sexual abuse after, according to an arrest warrant, he performed a sex act in front of two victims younger than 16 while they stayed at his home October 29 through October 30, 2022.
The citation said McAllister had reason to believe the two victims were present and could see or hear him performing the act.
Logsdon said the parents or guardians of the victims were contacted but neither submitted a victim impact statement.
As part of his agreement, McAllister agreed to a no-contact order, meaning he cannot have any contact with the victims including personal, written, email, text or social media.
