A Hardin County man is scheduled to be sentenced Tuesday in a child sexual abuse case after accepting a plea deal, according to a Kentucky court case summary.
Michael W. Hazelip, 64, is charged in Hardin Circuit Court with first-degree sexual abuse involving a victim under 12.
The case was filed September 4, 2025, and the alleged offenses happened in 2021.
According to court records, Hazelip admitted to having a 9-year-old victim touch him inappropriately multiple times and having also touched the young victim inappropriately.
Hazelip is being held on a $100,000 cash bond. He will serve a seven-year sentence in accordance with his plea deal.
He is due for formal sentencing on Tuesday, July 7, at 10 a.m. in Elizabethtown.
